Anyone know the ID and OD (inside and outside diameters) of the power
plug/socket used in almost all Toshiba laptops that run from 15 volts?
This is the same in almost every 15 volt Toshiba laptop, going back to
the 1990's and as recently as some current and recent past models (SOME
models of the A105). I have a power supply that needs to have a new
connector soldered onto the end of it, the old one was damaged & cut
off. I think it MIGHT be 6.3mm OD and 3.0mm ID but I'm not sure.

Also, anyone know of a good, cheap source? Radio Shack does not have,
at least not in the local stores.

Just measured mine (very roughly, with a ruler) & it is nominally 6mm OD and
3mm ID, so looks like you are correct :)

Be careful. There are many designs and some vary by tenths of a millimetre.
You cannot measure accurately enough with a ruler.

That's true, but it's likely that being of by a couple of tenths of a mm
would still work.

In the end, I found 3 entire power supplies on E-Bay for $5.99 each.
Cheaper than replacing the connector on the end of the cable, which I
could not find anywhere.

That may be true if the pin is a couple of tenths smaller than the hole in
which it is required to poke. But the other way around may give you serious
trouble, espacially if the pin is the same size as the hole. In which case
it is quite possible to do serious damage.
