Please log in for more thread options I have a T40 and encountered the same problem. Some experimentation
showed that it related to how fast the disk drive was able to restore
memory. Hibernation writes a full image of memory to disk. All of it
needs to be read back when you power up the system, and, on my system,
can take as long as booting. The more memory you have, the longer it takes.
