So I have a unique situation, my IT person just left the company and I
got a new phone the Motorola Q. I have been using a pocket pc for
years so I am familiar with Active Sync etc. Well I install Active
sync to get this new phone working with my work laptop and my
exhcnange server. I put in the details and when I try to sync with
exchange I get the following error:

The security certificate on the server is invalid. Contact your
Exchange Server administrator or ISP to install a valid certificate on
the server.

Support Code:80072f0d

Now I remember back in the day when I was having this problem with a
previous Pocket PC I would install the certificate on the PDA and it
would work fine. I tried to do this with my Motoroal Q but it says
"Security permission was insufficent to update your device"

Do you know what I can do to get this to work"

Hi,
For the Q you need a special certificate installer. You can get the program
from your carrier. Verizon does this for their devices as an example.

Hey i am having the same problem with my new Motorola Q9m, it keeps coming up
saying that the security certifiate is not valid. How do i go about fixing
this. MY IT guy says that Microsoft doesnt recognize our Certificate and a
patch is needed. The patch created was nscbundle.cab file, which I put on the
phone but it still wont work. This patch worked for the treo 750 but is not
working for me. Please help my figure this out thanks!

Hi,
Did you try installing the cert directly? With Windows Mobile 6 you should
be able to do it without a program from the carrier. Otherwise it's time to
call the carrier and ask for assistance.
