I installed MSN Desktop Search with Tabbed Browsing months ago and really
liked it. Then mysteriously the tabs disappeared. Uninstalling and
re-installing the product doesn't retrieve them. If I install without startup
programs, tabs appear, only to disappear when I quit IE and restart it. The
problem is NOT that I've failed to show the toolbar under the View menu; the
toolbar stops appearing there. In Manage Add-Ons, the toolbar help is listed,
but not the actual toolbar. (I think there used to be an entry for the MSN
toolbar as well as one for the MSN Toolbar Helper.)

With this background, can anyone provide a hint as to what might be
suppressing them or uninstalling something or whatever is happening? Is there
a place in the registry requiring correction? I'm a reasonably proficient
user and have spent a lot of time trying to figure this problem out, and
haven't gotten anywhere with it.

Mayhaps another BHO (Browser Helper Object) is getting in the way?
