Hello, How can I get windows media center to show my sky channels and the
free to air digital channels? I have a hauppauge HVR 1100 that has freeview
capability.

-Sky connects to the 'composite video' (scart to 3 x phono) on the HVR 1100
-The ariel (that carries th freeview channels) goes into the TV

Is this possible?

many thanks

The HVR 1100 is a hybrid card that can either be used for analogue capture from
the Sky digibox or
for DVB-T (Freeview) via the aerial. You cannot have both at the same time.

Thanks for that Nigel, I was starting to think as much after much faffing
around.

I've got a second hauppauge card a PVR PCI II in the same machine could I
set up a separate TV signal source on that card have that as my sky input? or
if your using a second card does it have to be the same as the other one
doing the same thing like SLI (with the provision of being able to record an
additional channel)

Thanks for your help again

Media Center can only have one programme source e.g. external Set Top Box, DVB-T
(Freeview),
analogue TV etc So while both tuners don't need to be identical they most be of
the same type e.g. 2
x Freeview etc
