Have you tried installing the latest version of the Desktop Search utility?

I believe I have the latest version. This is the version I have -
02.05.0001.1119. Do you know if there's an updated version available?

The latest version is 2.6.xxx
You can get it here..
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/desktopsearch/enterprise/default.mspx

You may want to uninstall the previous versin before installing the new one.
