At the moment I finally have it up and running. However, I may have narrowed
down the issue. When my laptop is brought back from sleep I get applications
that hang. But, if I wait for 5min or so the application starts to respond
again. Therefore, I tend to avoid putting my system to sleep and instead
shut if down. Short run that is workable, but not long run.
