Does anyone know how to sync excel & pocket excel? I feel like an idiot but
I can't figure it out. My entries on my PDA never make it to my desktop &
the entries on my desktop never make it to my PDA.

Hi,
Did you choose the option to sync Files? This is the way that ActiveSync
copies the files in the My Documents folder on the device to your desktop.
Also, ActiveSync does not copy files from the flash memory card.

to expan on on Chris' point, when you check "files" in activesync, that
generates a "sync folder" in your PC's My Documents folder.

Any Excel files placed in this folder or the first level below will
appear on the device's excel file menu after the next sync. Files
placed in folders more than one level deep _will_ sync, but will not be
visible in excel's file menu... they can be found and opened on the ppc
using PFileExplorer.

Finally, make sure you have backup copies on the PC of important files
you sync... large complex files using advanced features will be stripped
of those advanced features if they are edited on the ppc and synced back
to the desktop.

OK I moved the excel file to My Documents file & tried to sync. I am now
getting message "Cannot copy xxx.xls. Make sure your mobile device has
sufficient memory, that the file is not set as read-only, and that you have
permission to copy this file type." My mobile device definitely has enough
memory so how do I change the file to be not read-only?

Hi,
You can check and see if the file is read only by using File Explorer and
right clicking on the file on the PC and select properties. On the Pocket PC
use File Explorer and use Click and Hold to bring up the menu to selct the
properties.

Does your Excel file have a password? That can prevent the file from be
copied.
