I'd talk to your IT guys. To do it right you would likely set up a VPN to
the work network and then Outlook on the home laptop would be set up just
like at work, AFAIK. The trick is having your IT guys support that. I know
many companies that don't want personal machines connected to their network
in any fashion.

While hunting for answers to my own questions, I saw your post. If your goal
is to have the same Outlook data at home, on the laptop, and at work, and if
your work Exchange server is 2003 or later and you have Outlook 2003 on XP
SP2 or later, you can use Outlook from dozens of computers, all looking back
to your work Exchange server.

Ask your IT person to set you up with Outlook RPC over HTTP. Outlook will be
identical from any computer from which you have connected via RPC over
HTTP...no VPN needed.
