This problem started about 1 month ago. I have had my computer for 9 years,
the PDA for 3 years and have never had this problem.

Computer: 450Mhz P2, Windows XP, Microsoft Outlook

PDA: HP IPAQ 5450

I sync everything but AvantGo.

I drop the PDA in the cradle, Active Sync begins, then the PDA kicks itself
out, and I get a sync error.

What I've tried:

Performing a soft boot of the PDA before trying to sync.

Uninstalling and reinstalling Active Sync 3.8

Uninstalling and reinstalling the USB drivers

Performing a Hard reset and reloading the PDA.

Rebooting the PC upon getting a sync error.

Following Active Sync help on-line (really useless)

Can anyone help???

I mean, is there any error numbers shown? Most ActiveSync error
messages show an error number.

As I previously stated

Synchronization error

no numbers, no other text.

Right under the word CONNECTED it says
Synchronization error.

Can someone who has familiarity troubleshooting this please respond with
suggestions and not questions?
