Synchronisation software like Intellisync but not Pocket Mirror BC 09-10-2008

Now that Intellisync is no longer available is there any other software out
there with similar functionality?

I want to sync my Mobile 6.1 device to my XP desktop, but want to filter out
my wife's contacts and calendar items. We share Outlook and use Categories
to distinguish our respective entries. I also then sync my device with work
PC and so do not want all my wife's and children's events appearing at work
(and locking out my diary availability).

I tried Pocket Mirror but it does not allow you to simply select or deselect
certain categories to sync

ActiveSync dispensed with this capability a while back.

Thanks

Couldn't you use subfolders instead of categories? Move the items you
don't wish to sync to a subfolder, leaving just the sync items in the main
default folder?

But if I create subfolders can I still see a master view of the calendar
with all the appointments of the sub folders i.e. a mix of both my wife and
my appointments?

Sort of. In Outlook 2007 there's an "overlay mode" that superimposes one
calendar over another so the events of both show in the same view.

Unfortunately I still have 2003. So surprised that Microsoft removed this
functionality from ActvieSync. How do other people share a diary so that you
see if 'both of us' of free on Saturday night? And then synch their personal
Smartphone's or PDAs.
