Sync problem with SPV C600

I have recently upgraded from a C500 to a C600. Previously I could sync the
C500 with no problems using Activesync 3.8 and Outlook 2003.
The C600 install disk comes complete with Activesync 4.0 and so I duly
installed this. Now however, the C600 always asks for a new IP address when
connecting, which is fine to sync the phone but disables other applications
as XP will only recognise one address at a time.
Is there a way to sync using my normal IP address?

Does upgrading to AS v4.1 help? Its available from microsoft-com, and fixes
quite a few issues.

Check you've allowed Activesync access to network interfaces on your
firewall software too. AS4 works very differently to 3.x.

Also check out Jason Langridge's blog, where he has posted an AS4.1
