Sync error WM6/Vista

The Sync center says "Synchronization could not be completed. See http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=72544." but as you can see, nothing is there. If I look at the ActiveSync on phone, it still says "Synchronising". Any idea how to track down the problem? I deleted the sync partnership between my Phone and on my PC and then created a new connection and it was back up and going. So give that a shot. I've tried to delete both partnerships (on the phone as well as on the PC) and still the same results. (I even can't set the sync settings now). Had a problem and had to replace it, but the replacement wouldn't sync even after deleting the partnerships. Now my original Dash won't sync, which is a problem because the second replacement has arrived. I think I might try deleting the sync program and reloading it. I'm using WM6 and the newest sync program.
