I've upgraded to Vista, but don't have Outlook; just using Windows Mail that
came with Vista. I have to sync my Windows Contacts in Vista with my Outlook
contacts on my Pocket PC, mostly because I use this information in my iPaq
Navigation System. How can I do this? In Windows Mobile Device Center I
can't select Contacts as a type of information to synchronize because it says
Outlook is not installed. Again, I'm not installing Outlook on Vista because
apparently there is no upgrade path from 2003 to 2007. How do I do this

Hi,
Currently, WMDC does not support sycning of Windows Mail and Windows
Contacts. It is something that the feature team is considering for future
releases. Currently, WMDC only supports syncing of data with Outlook.
Thanks,
Abdulkadar

Please log in for more thread options Outlook 2003 runs fine on Vista, so if you have that, "I'm not installing
Outlook on Vista because apparently there is no upgrade path from 2003 to
2007", go ahead and use it.

Hi,
Cmon guys, Don’t you think saying that the feature team is considering for
future releases is a bad excuse.
Windows vista is out for more than 6 months.
Windows Contacts is a new feature of Windows Vista.
WMDC is specifically only for Windows Vista.
So, why cant WMDC sync Windows Contacts to my PPC.
Let me give an example how silly is this situation.
iTunes syncs ipod contacts from both Windows Contacts and Microsoft Outlook.
It even includes contact's photos.
It syncs even the notes.
So simple and elegant.
This should be a default feature of WMDC. Instead you are still making
simple excuses.
