I'll throw two possibilities that aren't guaranteed to help! ;-)

One, is there enough room in memory for the attachment? Even if you store
them on storage card the device loads them in memory first then moves them
over.

Two- try turning off PDF tagging in Activesync (if on, turn it on if off!)

I have more than enough memory on the main memory, built in memory and SD
card so that is not the reason.

I do not know what pdf tagging is. Please give me more information on this
so I can check it out.

Thanks for your help.

It's a filter added to Activesync when you install Acrobat Reader for
Windows Mobile on the desktop. If Reader (or Clearvue, or any other .pdf
viewer) was already installed on your device, or if you downloaded it to
your device directly, the filter wouldn't have been installed and you can
ignore what I wrote.

"Tagging" is Adobe-speak for marking up a pdf file so it wraps in the small
display of a handheld device. Ordinarily it's done when a .pdf file is
transferred from the desktop to the device, but only if the tagging filter
was installed on the PC when Reader for WinMo was installed. IIRC, you
enabled/disabled it (if there) in the File conversion settings in Activesync.
