I have a pc with Asus P5GV-MX motherboard, 1024 MB RAM, Radeon X1300
Pro Video Card with 256MB RAM, and ATSC 110 TV tuner card running
Windows Vista Ultimate. My problems are:
1. When I try to setup MC, it says your Tuner Card does not support
your Region (Canada). When I change it to US, it starts searching for
signals. I can hear the sound coming from TV tuner but there is no
video.
2. I get a message that no signal were captured.

When I use Beyond TV however, I can watch TV with sound and video.
Could someone please help me resolve the issue. Thanks

What happens if you also use the US Zip code for the city where the OTA
tranmitters you are trying to receive from are located?

Hi,

I used USA and then it trys to find Digital signals and can't. The
problem is that my TV Tuner card is hybrid but I don't have digital
cable. I'm using regular cabel but the system can't recoginize the
signal. If somebody can tell me what is the problem. Thanks in advance.

For analog tuning MCE requires that the card have an onboard MPEG2 encoder
which this card lacks and does not officially support hybrid tuners. MCE can
only set up your tuner for digital (ATSC) OTA signal. So you can't setup the
analog side of the tuner you can only use the Kworld tuner for ATSC tuning
in MCE.

You can use the tuner for both NTSC and ATSC tuning in some software, but
you can only tune or record from one source at a time.

You need an antenna connected to you ATSC card to receive OTA digital
broadcasts they are not available over you cable connection.
