Okay, this is weird. In order to sync mm Ipaq hx2790b to either of my
PC's, I have to do a soft reset. WIthout it, I get a "USB Device not
recognized" or it ignores it. Now if I remove the PDA and put it
right back in the cradle, it usually reconnects. However if I use any
of the software, it must be soft reset to recconect to the same
machine. This happens on both my Vista box and mt XP box and witrh a
cable and/or the cradle. It seems that after I do this, the
partnerships and syc's are fine. It is annoying to say the least. It
would appear that ih has to do with the PDA rether than the PC's or
active sync. I am using the new Windows moblile software on the Vista
box and the current version of Active Sync on the other
It is also weird that the XP box likes to rename the PDA after
syncing with the Vista box. The rename doesn't appear to interfere
with the sync or create an new partnership.
