Smartphone running out of space- help! Ozman 12-19-2005

I have a new Imate SP5 Smartphone running Win Mobile 05. I get an alert
saying: running low on free storage space, and have used 16.3MB out of
storage memory of 17.95MB. Program memory is 44.7MB and used 29MB on
average.

1. How can I find what is hogging the space ( I have no Pics or Music)?
Using Windows on the Desktop- can't see anything obvious- maybe just heaps
of smaller files
2. Any suggestions? How can I even find out what to move to a mini SD card.
2. Can I move Program Memory to storage memory?

I am only running Intellisync to remotely access mail files (no attachments)
and Calendar

Frustrating!

Go to Start/Task Manager -> press "Menu"-> select stop All

This will free up your device with more memory space.

Hope this helps.

This just frees up Program memory, which I have plenty of. I need storage
space or need to be able to gab some of the Program memory and put it into

That phone has a mini-sd slot I think - in which case just get a card -
available up to 1GB

Are you using Pocket Internet Explorer a lot? It uses the space to store
cache files. Try clearing this space (Options menu).

Also, as suggested, you can add a miniSD card and install programs on that
card instead of the main memory.
