I'm looking for a Smartphone for my partner to replace her SPV C500 that's
starting to show its age (not working), I gave her my old C500 and that too
has now stopped working.

Anyway, she really needs it on pay as you go. The most obvious choice to me
was the C600, which I can't find anywhere on pay as you go.

So what Windows Mobile 5 phones can you recommend that are available on pay
as you go in the UK?

Thanks guys.

I've yet to fin a UK operator that offers a PAYG Smartphone. They say the
cost of the standalone device would be too high.

However, HTC produce several Windows Mobile 5.0 devices that are
operator-free. All you need to do is retain your existing PAYG SIM.

I recently purchased the MTeoR, which is a bit pricey at £325. But on the
plus side, it's easy to use, packed with features and th ergonomics seem to
be a lot better than big brands like Nokia.

Disappointing considering the C500s were so easy to find on PAYG nearly two
years ago.

Thanks gives me a few ideas, other than twisting her arm to go contract at
get an XDA Mini S or something like me. 8-)

Hi!

I like my QTEC 8500 (StrTrk). It looks like a Motorola Razor. It's small and
packed with features. And as a non locked device it costs about ? 320,--
incl. VAT at expansys

Tried ebay? You can get various HTC offerings there cheaply - I got my
Vodafone V1240 (actually same as iMate SP5m with wifi) for around a ton
a few months back. There's some nice kit out there - just familiarise
yourself with the various different brandings such as SDA, SDA II,
Q-Tek, HTC, iMate etc and have a trawl...I'm certain you could get a
C600 from there.

Personally I want the startrek but they're still a bit dear...
