 I'm a new MotoQ user and when I open contacts and type in a letter to search
contacts it searches on *first name*, not last name. I can find no menu
items to change this behavior -- which is somewhat useless.

So, how do I search my contacts by last name on a MotoQ?

 On my phone (the Q), when I open contacts and type "d"-"a"-"n" I get entries
highlighted that have the string "dan" in either the first OR last name.

Aha! It just happened that all of the matches on the first "page" in my case
were on the first name; thus I assumed they all were. It's still a bit
confusing though now that I see how it is actually working I can certainly
live with it...
