I hope someone can help, 'cause I'm about out of patience with Windows
Mobile 5.0 (smartphone). We have two VPNs I need to access for work, both
Cisco platforms. One uses certificate authentication, the other login ID and
password. I have searched the web repeatedly for information on how to
configure VPN settings, but can find nothing that describes what the various
settings actually do. I've tried several combinations for each, and now I'm
fed up. Our local IT help desk is not familiar with the Windows Mobile
platform (or Palm either, for that matter), and all I can get from the phone
company is a recommendation to contact my IT department. The famous
Smartphone Shuffle...

Anyway, if I can't find some resources to help me get connected, I'm going
to return this and go with a regular old phone. Sigh. If anyone can offer
any suggestions, I would be eternally grateful.

Thanks for listening,

Gary

>> famous ... Shuffle <<

I'd want to look at the Cisco factor... havn't heard it in a while, but
there used to be known WMobile VPN issues getting through the Cisco
barriers...

Would suggest googling both

SMARTPHONE VPN CISCO

and

POCKETPC VPN CISCO

will snoop around when I get a moment as well
