SmartPhone security? Evan Bruley 06-13-2006

Hello,
A couple questions regarding SmartPhone security...

For phones running Microsoft OS, such as the Motorola Q, does the OS use a
HOSTS file, same as on XP for example?

Anybody have recommendation for antivirus and/or antispyware software? In
particular I would be interested not only in how well it protects the user,
but how much system resources does it consume. I suppose there is a
trade-off, but would like to find something good that does not negatively
impact device performance.

Does anybody know what the small button on the "D" key does on a Motorola Q
phone? I have been unsuccessful finding anybody at Verizon or Motorola who
know, and the user manual does not show it or mention it.

Thanks in advance. I appreciate your time.
Evan

Oops... please ignore my incredible ignorance in 3rd question. The "button"
is a "feel me" position reference point. My apologies... it looked like a
small button to me.

Any advice on other two questions greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Evan

I have a smartphone audiovox smt5600 and I use airscanner mobile antivirus
for smartphone v2.0, it seems to work very well and can be assigned to scan
at your convenience.
