Others' cheating is no defence when caught with your pants down - especially
if a rival reported you.
But don't panic yet.
First search for "strings of unique text" from your inner pages, and see
what happens; that's the best way of being sure that it's there / not there.
Second, sign up for Google analytics, and see if your numbers have changed
significantly.
Third, look at ALL your outgoing links - ESPECIALLY recips and non-related.
The majority ofGoogle downgrading / banning is link-related.
Fourth, think really hard about anything else that may have changed lately.
But, chances are it's none of the above. Most new sites sail happily into
Google's index on a 'benefit of the doubt' basis - then reality clicks in,
and they sink like a stone, and eventually equilibrium sets in at the
'right' place.
Your site is new, and ALL THINGS are possible. However, starting a new site
with Google no-nos was probably a mistake, but unlikely a fatal one.
