I am wondering if there is a way to map users to a share on a Windows 2003
server and only allow them to see certain subfolders within this folder.
Example:

Create a folder on the D Drive of a Windows 2003 server and share it, called
SUBWEB.

Create folders within SUBWEB called ONE, TWO and THREE

Map a user to the share SUBWEB and grant them rights to work within the
folder ONE but make it so they can't even see folders TWO and THREE

I remember something at one point suggesting the Modify setting on the
shared folder SUBWEB will do this but I have yet to locate that information
again. We will be able to test this theory later this week but in the mean
time I am wracking my brain trying to figure this out.

Take a look at Windows 2003 Access-based Enumeration. What it does is only
allow users to "see" the folders within a share that they have at least read
permissions on. Potentially all users will be able to see the share itself
in My Network Places however even if they do not have any permissions to the
share. -- Steve
