Please log in for more thread options Thanks for the info. However, I find that with AVI files there is no "genre"
in the properties dialog box outside of media center. I can set the genre
within WMP but I suspect WMP has a seperate database and so the tags are not
transferable to other media servers such the Buffalo Linkstation or
Twonkyvision.
What I really want to do is create these tags INSIDE the avi file so that
the genre and other tags move with the file in the same way as mp3 tags do.
I've tried abcavi.exe software but it doesn't seem to work (reliably).
Perhaps I'm asking for too much of an emerging technology such as digital
video but it the "Digital Home" is going to be successful, it has to be easy
to find what you're looking for.
Any ideas would be gratefully received.
