We're currently running Exchange 2003 on server 2003 and are having
problems sync'ing pocket pc devices.
They sync via a PC with no problems but not via wireless to the server.
We've had a couple of specialists come in and have now determined that
Server Activesync isn't actually starting on the server. There is
supposed to be an application event when the server starts up to show
that Server Activesync has started, but we get no such event on
shutdown or reboot. The problem is, it's not a service as such and have
no way to manually try and start it.
We are now trying to identify the best way to go about sorting this.
Does anyone know if it would be as simple as removing IIS from the
server and reinstalling it?
We're a bit dubious about doing anything to the exchange server before
we've done a bit of research.
We're taking a current full system backup so that if worst comes to
worst we can return it to the current state.
Any help would be much appreciated.
