Hello all,

I wish to announce Iterator.pm, and associated modules
Iterator::Util, Iterator::DBI, Iterator::IO, and Iterator::Misc,
which are now available on CPAN. Why "Semi-announce"? I think
these modules are good, but I would like to fine-tune them
(hopefully with feedback from c.l.p.m denizens) before considering
them finished and ready for the real world.

These modules are based on the iterators that have been
popularized by Mark Dominus in his lectures and recent book ("Higher
Order Perl"). It is my hope that Iterator.pm will become the
definitive implementation of iterators, and that other people will
create Iterator::* modules (for example, I plan to write a set of
random-number generator iterators as Iterator::Random, real soon now).

Please take a look at these modules, and post any constructive
criticism and feedback here. I very much appreciate such feedback.

Thanks in advance,
