Hi,
I am looking for a simple tool to quickly layer quantitative data (at
ZIP2 level) over a US map. I have in mind as output a color density
graph, or a column graph. Is there a website or shareware that I can
use for this? It is really just a simple exercise, nothing fancy.
Thanks for your help.

Here is the source data to give you an idea how simple it is:
State ZIP2 Quantity
CA        96         1,813
GA        31         10,229
IA        50         13,770
IA        51         5,624
IA        52         5,225
.... ... ...

and so on until all states and ZIPs are covered.

Microsoft's MapPoint product could do this.

Various different geographic levels - including zip code; and plot
types (shaded area, colored spot, pie & bar charts, etc).

It comes with quite a bit of its own demographic data, so you combine
multiple datasets.

If you need extra add-in programming work for MapPoint, we can help
you :-)
