I have the samsung i780, vista home premium and outlook 2007 installed and
wmdc. My phone connects with no problem, the samsung MITs USB sync driver is
installed and i can reach my phones memory.
When i want to sync, i get the message: "waiting for network" with the error
code: 0x80072EFF.

I just want USB sync to add my contacts.
I have tried everything (within my knowledge) but nothing is working.

Please some help!

Hi,
Do you have a software firewall installed? Did you ensure that ActiveSync's
ports are authorized?

Hi,

Yes i have a firewall (bullguard) but i turned that off.
I'm not sure what you mean by "activesync's ports are authorized". I didn't
have to authorise it, my firewall was turned off. I am only connecting
through USB directly on my personal laptop to sync with outlook 2007. I am
not using exchange server.

The computer does connect to my phone, i can drag and drop files on my sd
card, but sync will stop and say "waiting for network". But i dont know what
network, i am not using a network or exchange, just directly via USB.

Hope you van help.

Thanx for your effort

Hi,
To sync you must open an outbound port as well as inbound response ports. I
am not familiar with Bullguard however I have seen other firewalls cause
problems.

Also, I'd try reinstalling Outlook and see if that fixes the problem.

Hey,

I've closed all firewalls, but nothing.
I reinstalled outlook twice, but still no sync. I'm getting pretty
desperate. When I uninstalled 2007, and i tried to installed outlook 2003, it
gave an error when i opened outlook: mapi32.dll is broken.

:S
