I recently ordered a 1GB DDR2 SODIMM.
It does not fit into my Toshiba Satellite M55-S331.
The little notch is slighly off from the one in the slot.
Are DDR and DDR2 SODIMMS suppose to be like this? Meaning, not
interchangable?

Thanks VM

DDR2 is not interchangeable with DDR.

I suspect that your laptop uses DDR and you ordered DDR2. They are as
different as night and day, and totally non-interchangeable.

If you want to upgrade your notebook RAM it pays to do some research
about compatibility issues...I almost made the same mistake in the past
when I want to upgrade my HPs memory sticks.
