SIM password is not saved

The telephone SIM card in my PDA is password protected.
Even though I checked "save password" the dialog to enter the password pops
up everytime I connect the device.

The happens with all versions of ActiveSync I used (including 4.2).

Hi,
The password you are seeing is the power on password. It's a security risk
to store the password. So I suspect that this is broken but shouldn't have
the option to save the password.
