Replied mails on IMAP servers being deleted? James Chan 09-21-2007

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone else is having this problem. I have "Save
Copies of Sent Items" checked. When I reply to an email and then go to
folder view. I can see it go to the outbox then go to sent items. Right
after that it disappears from Sent Items. I use an IMAP server with
gmails outgoing POP. Sent Items is set to sync through manage folders.
This doesn't happen when I write a new message. Only with replies! It's
quite odd! Checking gmailvwill show that the mail was sent through the
POP server. But it's never synced to the IMAP server because it
disappears from Sent Items. I suppose most people have one server and
just access it differently through POP and IMAP. When sending through
POP it probably automagically stores it in the outgoing folder of your
IMAP or something. I know my solution is a little different but it's the
best way to do it and works great with desktop mail applications. Thanks
in advance.

James
