Removing the HD from my Sony Vaio fantabular 10-16-2007

 My motherboard got fried on my Sony Vaio.
I'm just going to sell it for parts, but before I do that, I want to
make sure all personal information has been removed from the hard
drive. I have one of those converters which you can plug your laptop
hard drive into & use it as an external.
So how in the world do I remove the hard drive? I've taken the back
off the laptop, but I have no idea where the hd is located.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!
