Please log in for more thread options I don't think the devices are locked because there's no problem executing
our own code in at least two ways, there's no problem running Remote
Registry Editor and changing values, etc. Two ways of running code are to
use the PC's "Explore Device" menu entry to copy files to and from the
device and then clicking shortcuts on the device, or to use Visual Studio to
copy executables and run them under the debugger. The devices don't even
prompt for approval, they just accept everything.
(We had some other devices that prompted when the PC ran Remote Registry
Editor. If we forgot to notice the prompt on the device then Remote
Registry Editor would time out with an error message. I don't recall if we
tried Remote Zoom-In on those devices.)
