Hi,

I am sorry to post on multiple groups but I don't know from which I can get
the answer and which one really is related to my problem exactly.
Also posted on microsoft.public.windows.server.general &
microsoft.public.windows.server.networking

I am trying to open Performance Counters of a remote machine but it fails to
connect.
Also when I try to test \MachineIP\IPC$ it fails too.

I am simply trying to use a software(ServersCheck) to checkup PerfCount
values and when I try, Windows responds with the following:

"ERROR: 800007D3 - The data item has been added to the query, but has not
been validated nor..."

However it works when I try to use the machine where I am initiating the
request.

This software company told us that they use \Machine\IPC$ to get perfcount
values and they say that we have a windows issue.

So can you guys help me with this? Why doesn't it work?
Also some people say that it works against Win2K but fails with Win2K3
machines.
