Yes, that's just the way it is. I have the same problem, so I've boxed up
my Bluetooth dongle and gone back to the USB cable. I've not seen a way,
short of leaving the BT dongle installed, to prevent the port from going
away (well, I guess you could set up another type of port at the right COM
device name, but you'd have problems, then when reinstalling the BT port).
I've not had any luck getting AS to ignore the presence or lack thereof of
the port. I understand that, as it really does need to know that it's there
to work right in the average case...
