A friend has just contacted me re a problem he has which I've not been able
to assist with.

Having had a DVD fault fault which ruined his XP Home Recovery CD, the
manufacturer (MEDION) has supplied hime with a new one.

When installing, after he inputs and OK's the language to be used he gets
the following message........

"The necessary recovery files are not in the original folder!. If you have
deleted these files the recovery option cannot be performed anymore".

He is quite adamant that he has not deleted or otherwise any folder of files
associated with the recovery partition on the HDD

Assuming this to be true, any ideas ?? and possibly what recovery files are
meant to be missing and the original folder??

Thanks in anticiaption
