Hey guys, I was reading an article the other day that said that it is
possible to recover deleted files in a palm.

Is this true? Anyone knows any written soft to do this?

Cause I researched and found a couple of soft that makes an exact image
of a palm's RAM.

So... in both cases (deleted & present), can files be recovered in ALL
versions of palms & palm OS or are they any restrictions?
Thx.

Some people at another forum got my question a little mixed up; I
wasn't very clear actually.

I'm talking about recovering the files deleted in the palm, NOT
recovering from the backup on a hard disk.
I'll put it more clearly in view with an example:

Some guy stoles your palm, goes to his PC, connects it and with some
special soft he can recover your deleted files by dumping the "free"
space to a file on his PC. Maybe he can get individual data files.

Do you get what I mean? Actually, this was said by the article to be
doable now, but I lost it and I wanna be sure it can be done.

Using the right tools it is usually possible to recover
deleted files, though sometimes only in fragments and
sometimes not at all if the space used for the original file
has been used for a later file.

However, the chances that someone who found your Palm would
have the skill to do this and go to all this trouble is
remote. The media is just scaring everyone again, as they
love to do.

Unless, of course, someone stole YOUR Pam on purpose just to
get your secret information :-)

So Victor, do you know of any specific programs and where to get them?
I'm doing some research for a college paper, it would be most usefull
if you would give me any links.

Why would I want to support potentially criminal activity?
And, if this is for a college paper, shouldn't you be doing
your own research?
