I just got a new Dell machine setup with MCE and was hoping there was some
way to get it to record audio for later playback like it can do with TV.

I couldn't at first find a way to get it to get the URL in to begin with, so
I opened the Windows Media Player and got the MP3 stream running and then
next thing I knew the MC Window had started displaying a set of headphones
icon for the radio program.. I thought cool now I can just click the record
button, but alas the record button was disabled.

Ideally I'd to have the record series functionality to record two different
radio programs.

TIA
df

Media Center doesn't do this itself, but outside of MC you can do this.

I'm a happy user of http://www.replay-radio.com/ which allows record
streamed audio or music on a schedule.

I'd also suggest that you get podcasting software, such as from
http://www.ipodder.org/directory/4/ipodderSoftware . It downloads a mp3
that holds content that other people have recorded. I am using this mainly
to get ScienceFriday from NPR.

Good luck,

Knox

Hi David,

try Web Media - a MCE plugin - from:
http://www.mcesoft.nl/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=25&Itemid=122

I´m using it since a couple of weeks for Internet Radio. It works great.

Thx
Ernst
