Media Center doesn't do this itself, but outside of MC you can do this.
I'm a happy user of http://www.replay-radio.com/ which allows record
streamed audio or music on a schedule.
I'd also suggest that you get podcasting software, such as from
http://www.ipodder.org/directory/4/ipodderSoftware . It downloads a mp3
that holds content that other people have recorded. I am using this mainly
to get ScienceFriday from NPR.
