Two days ago my Media Center stopped recording TV shows. There is no error
message other than : "Schedule Problem: The recording could not be scheduled
for an unknown reason. Restart Media Center and try to schedule your
recording again." My hard drive is mostly empty so it's not a space thing.
However, when I check the settings it says I only have enough space for 1/2
hour of recording. I am unable to change the settings.

Needless to say, restarting does not work. Went to HP for an online chat.
They can't figure out why. They said I must have a virus. Virus protection
is up to date and a scan a few minutes ago revealed nothing.

Am unable to change the defaults in the settings control of Media Center.
I'm at a loss.

Any suggestions?

Do a System Restore to a point when it worked. If that doesn't work then restore
a backup from when
it last worked.
