Sounds like there are loads of us worldwide with the same problem - is
there an easy fix somewhere MSN please coz it's driving me crazy.
It first happened last year when I updated from the Beta toolbar to the
final version. My screen went nuts with error popups but I managed to
control it and now just get the same 'msntb_toolbar etc.' unable to
load its config file. Trouble is, you can't delete it from add/remove
programmes or install a patch, nor stop the wretched pop-up.
Surely MSN can do better than this ? I'm staying with google toolbar
after this as its never invaded my screen space like this one !

I am having the same trouble now. It's SO irritating!!!! It started last
night and no one seems to be able to help me. How did you get it under
control? I can't even click on my desktop icons with getting that messege. I
would like to have my msn toolbar back, but like you said. You can't delete
it, or reinstall it because it says you already have that version on your
computer. Really??? Where??? Because I can't find it!!!!! Please help if you
have any clues. BTW I didn't upgrade from anything. I have no idea as to why
it's happening.

Since i haven't came across this problem before, I haven't worked on a
fix yet. I do have some questions though:
- Does the error still occur for a new user on the same machine? (i.e.
create a new user, login with that user and open WDS/MSN toolbar)
- What directory does the msntb.dll file reside? Could it be malware?

Also something that might be of interest, check out
http://www.file.net/process/msntb.dll.html for a description on the
file. Could be some malware hijacking your computer.
