RESYNC not working on new PC Terry Pinnell 05-01-2008

 On my old XP Home PC using ActiveSync 4.2 I had reliable operation
from Genovation's handy tools KillSync and Resync.

But on my new XP Pro PC on which I've installed ActiveSync 4.5,
KillSync works OK but ReSync restarts AS and then hangs. Eventually
reports Not Responding and I have to close via Task Mgr.

Anyone have any idea what may be happening here please?

 Hi Terry,

Resync has been there long before ActiveSync 4.5 came out. I wonder if any
new changes is causing the issue you are facing. Don't have access to a Win
XP PC right now to comment but will check and confirm.

Thanks Raj, pleased to have you on the case!

BTW, on my new PC, TM reports that AS 4.5 is consuming more like 0-1%
now, rather than the 4-6% on my old PC with AS 4.3. Is that merely
because my new PC (Intel Quad Core 2.66 GHz, 4 GB) is much more
powerful than my old (Athlon 1800, 1 GB). Or is 4.5 more efficient,
not consuming much resource when it's just 'waiting'?
