I'm going to have to disassemble my laptop to replace a broken LCD
screen, and need all the help I get with that! I've searched quite a
bit but can't find this manual. Can anyone help?

You do not have to disassemble the laptop to replace an LCD screen.
Only the lid. That's pretty much done the same way everywhere: Find &
remove 2 or 4 screws (usually towards the corners, always covered under
"something"). Then snap off the bezel (this part is tricky and
dangerous in that doing this is a learned skill that comes with
experience, and even experienced techs will occasionally break a bezel
doing it. Once you have the 2 or 4 screws out, the bezels do "snap"
off, but there are usually 1 to 3 dozen snaps, and, like I say, knowing
how to do this without breaking something is a skill that you acquire
only with experience). Once you get the bezel off, the rest is all very
obvious. The LCD panel will have 2 cables going to it, the signal cable
(lots of wires/pins) and the lamp cable to the inverter (only 2 wires,
but CAUTION: HIGH VOLTAGE (can be over 1,000 volts .... needs a LOT of
respect, VERY painful if not actually potentially lethal).

BTW, I probably do have a service manual. I have service manuals for a
lot of Toshiba models (probably most) as I service them (although I am
not "Toshiba authorized" in any way, shape or form, I've probably
repaired 500 Toshiba laptops over the past 20 years).

Never broke one once I started using the edge of an old credit card slid
along the gap to pop them open. The thickness of the card is near perfect
and the plastic card doesn't gouge the edge plastics.
