I suspect you need to get a later version of Easy CD Creator and/or maybe a
later CDRW drive.
Easy CD Creator went out of business several years ago, they are now Roxio.
I don't think Direct CD v. 2.5D works in Windows XP.

You might try turning on the CD recorder function in Windows XP.
Right click the CD drive in Windows Explorer, left click properties,
Recording tab.
Check Enable CD recording on this drive.
Easy CD Creator and Windows XP CD recording do not happily co-exist. You may
need to remove Easy CD Creator and DirectCD.
It would be a good idea to read Windows XP's Help and Support on "cd
recording" without quotes
