Hi,

I need to do a quick one-off software audit of all the machines on our
network (20). Does anyone have a quick/cheap way to do this? I've been
testing some auditing products, but most are either limited in
functionality, or by number of audits you can do, you then need to purchase
a full version. I would be happy to do this if we were going to use the
product on a regular basis, however this is just a one off. Do MS have a
product? I've read about MSIA, however that is only for auditing MS based
products, and I need to audit ALL software. I'm not worried about hardware
or anything too advanced. Maybe a script that can retrieve the details from
Add/remove programs? Or can MBSA 2 audit?

Any advice much appreciated

Ben

OK, think I have found a good product, sysinternals do psinfo, which looks
like it can do what I want. Have got it working locally, however remotely it
fails, even though I am, domain admin, and have even tried supplying the
admin username & password. Just keep getting access denied. Anyone have any
experience with psinfo?

Cheers

Ben
