Old scool Arc/Info had a command 'CLEAN'

I would like to 'clean' a line feature class so that over- and
under-shots gets fixed within a snap/fuzzy distance that I specify.

How to do this in ArcGIS 9.x, without converting to Coverage ???

:-) Martin
