Since 2002, ZipMagic is a very important part
of my software organisation.

One week ago, I purchased a Lenovo R61 with
Windows XP SP2 installed, NTFS

Usual Windows updates.

ZipMagic does not work,
stops windows exlproer as soon as I click on a ZIP file.

Now I put in my old Acer Travelmate 800 a new
120 GB harddisk

Convert to NTFS
Updates
Update to SP2
Updates

ZipMagic works

Where could be the difference, that ZipMagic works
on the Acer 800 but not on the Lenovo R61?

Is it a difference in user accounts between the two noteooks?=20
Travelmate is an administrative account; Lenovo is a restricted user=20
account? Try uninstallinmg from the Lenovo, reboot, and reinstall for=20
"all users".

I deactivated most with msconfig

Ahh... The load of plunder installed has substantially reduced the price
that you paid for the notebook. It's some work, but using the new
Vista Programs and Features control panel works wonders.
