My computer recently crashed and I took it in to have it repaired. Now that
it's back, I'm unable to load I-tunes on my computer. I tried uninstalling
I-tunes, which eventually worked. It seems the problem is with the Quick Time
program that comes with the I Pod software. Every time I try to open or
uninstall Quick Time, I receive an error message that reads "Error
0x800040707 DLL function call crashed QTInstall code ..." and nothing is
uninstalled in the end. This problem prohibits me from opening I Tunes
software, yet I can't seem to figure out a solution. Any advice?

Have you tried reinstalling iTunes+Quicktime over the top of your
existing installation? (www.apple.com/itunes/download) Quicktime is a
nececary component in order for iTunes to work, so if your quicktime
installation is corrupt, iTunes won't work either.

Sounds like you are using the installer that came with your iPod. Maybe you
will have better luck downloading the latest version (now QuickTime 7.0.3)
from the Apple site.
