Hi all,
I am using Global Mapper to reproject SDTS DEM's to Geographic (NAD83)
Lat/Long. Global Mapper reprojects the DEM perfectly. The problem is that
when I load it into ArcView 3.3 w/Spatial Analyst, the DEM does not line up
with any of the other data. The .prj file looks OK to me. I am assuming
that it is reading something inside the reprojected DEM file that is causing
it to be placed somewhere else thus overriding the .prj file. Does anybody
know how to do this or another programto do it.
I can accomplish this task by using ARC Toolbox to load the SDTS DEM and
then reproject it that way. The problem is that Global Mapper has a batch
reproject function that I would really like to use. Without the batch
function, I will have to do this many times to the point that it is not
practical.
I am doing this as part of my GIS project for my final at Northeastern
University and rapidly running out of time. I will be thankful for all
help.
Also does anyone know where to get high quality DEM data for the islands of
the Bahamas. I went to the research field station on San Salvador Island
and would like to do a project on San Salvador also.
Thank you
Mike
