Hello,
I have a problem with ActiveSync and my phone running Microsoft Mobile.
The following steps represent what I have done.
1. Installed ActiveSync on my laptop and proceeded to download all of
my contacts onto my phone. At this point everything works great.
2. I backed up my contacts in outlook to a location on my hard drive.
3. I deleted my contact list in Outlook on my laptop.
4. I then re-imported my contacts into Outlook from a location on my
laptop.
5. I then tried to re-sync my laptop and phone. This resulted in all
of my contacts on my phone being deleted.

Can anyone please shed some light on this? I would really like to get
my contacts back on my phone.

Thanks,
Bill

Hi Bill,

Did you import the same set of contacts or was it another one? Also you
said that all of the contacts on the phone got deleted. So are you saying
that the phone doesn't have any contacts now but the contacts are still
available in Outlook? I am also curious to know the file format from which
you imported the Contact file.

Hi Raj,
I imported the same set of contacts. The phone currently has no
contacts... However I did try to add a new contact in outlook and it
did propagate through to the phone. I left the file format settings
default, the phone just automatically synced with the PC.

Thanks,
Bill

Hi Bill,

So you got the entire set of contacts in your Outlook but it doesn't sync to
your phone. Right? I was referring to the file format used to backup your
contacts. If new contacts are propagating, then I can mail you an addin
that should get your contacts into your phone. Let me know.
